Stay was awesome! Thank you! Positive: Very spacious and comfortable. Location was centralized.

It was good for the two nights we were there host seemed nice through text. Positive: It was a cute place with a lot of potential a little TLC would go a long way. Negative: Definitely n Ed to fix up a few things, a new shower curtain, fix the leak under the sink so it doesn’t smell when you walk in, fix the bathroom toilet paper and towel rack, fix your lamps and table in living room. Leave things like salt pepper coffee creamer for guest would be nice.

Staying in urban decay is not worth the savings Positive: Close to University of Kansas; plenty of space for one person; good price. Negative: Be aware that this rental is located in a very sketchy, economically depressed part of the city. Urban decay is evident by the multitude of boarded up buildings, derelict properties, graffiti covering all surfaces, and garbage littering the ground everywhere. Bus stops typically had at least one person who seemed out of their mind (yelling, flailing arms, etc.) In sum, I did NOT feel safe walking in the neighborhood (however, just two blocks away is a dense residential area which was fine and I did feel safe walking in). The property itself had 2 foot tall weeds growing in the "yard" and garbage was present in the parking area. There were roach traps spread throughout the unit (but I didn't see any live ones). Next time I will pay up to stay somewhere nicer and safer.

We would definitely stay again, this is a historic neighborhood Positive: Not knowing much about this area of Kansas City, we found ourselves in a diverse neighborhood in a home that was built in 1901 and now updated to 4 large apartments each with 2 bedrooms, one bathroom, living room, dining room, very modern kitchen, very comfortable beds. AC worked! There was off street parking and even though it was on a good size street, it was quiet. The host, Kevin, was very attentive and helpful when I locked myself out and couldn’t get back in [my fault]. He drove over, showed me how to use the key code, showed us how the TV worked and answered all our questions about the house. Across the street is a funky cafe where we went for coffee in the mornings. The Nelson Atkins Museum and the Kemper Museum of Contemporary Art are a six minute drive, fabulous BBQ 9 minute drive away, Big T’s Bar-B-Q - NOT FANCY! Negative: Initially I thought that the front yard could have been better kept until I realized that it was on a slope down to the sidewalk and every house in two block + in either directions had the same slope that would have been impossible to mow. I would probably repaint the interior stairs …. these are all minor things!!!

Not in a good neighborhood, not family friendly. Bathtub is unstable. Positive: Closeness to downtown Negative: Bathtub was broken and unstable. Not family friendly.
